Unfortunately this wedding was one of my last in 2013. I spent the morning with Lenata as she was getting ready. The ladies were all very relaxed, calm and collected as they got ready. They even had time for a bit of a dance and a joke as they helped the bride into her wedding dress and Louboutin designer wedding shoes. Her father came to take her to the church and looked pleased as punch when he saw his daughter in her dress for the first time. The wedding ceremony was held at the family Church. I personally love it when there is a little history behind the wedding ceremony location and if the bride or groom has grown up attending a particular church then it makes it that little bit extra special.
The reception was held at the Decorium in North London. This very popular London reception venue was amazing with its high ceilings and mood lighting which created a fantastic atmosphere for the wedding reception. I was very excited to shoot this wedding as the bride and groom were both Nigerian which meant there would be great music, fantastic food and no shortage of guests in traditional colourful outfit and I wasn’t wrong. The party was amazing and there were lots of traditional dances and the bride and groom were showered with money on the dancefloor. Fantastic.
As a Decorium Wedding photographer I love winter weddings because they provide me with the opportunity to get some fantastic evening shots during the couples portrait session which means I get to experiment with flash. Below are a few of my favourite images from the day. Please contact me if you would like to have a discussion about me being your wedding photographer.
