I met up with Marie and Franco for their engagement shoot at a location that is very special to them. Kenilworth Castle in coventry is where Franco grew up and is very close to where they both now live and plan to settle. During the shoot he told me stories of how he used to climb the walls of the castle when he was younger with his friends (naughty boy). Marie is from New Zealand and the couple met whilst Franco was working and travelling for two years. They are a fantastic couple (although I’m lucky enough to be able to say that all of my couples are). Marie is very giggly and they are both very relaxed and looked after me really well on my excursion up to Coventry for the day to get this engagement shoot done.
I am usually a London engagement photographer and so I really enjoyed the chance to get out of London for a change of scenery. The old castle was fantastic and much bigger than I had first anticipated. The amazing red/orange walls created an amazing backdrop for the shoot, especially as I have a love for bright and vibrant colours. Although the forecast didn’t look great the wather held out for us luckily. Although I must say that I am usually lucky when it comes to weather for both engagement sessions and weddings (it must be the secret wind-machine that I keep in my camera bag!). Below are a few of my favourites from the day.
