If you are looking for a National Theatre wedding photographer then please take a look at my most recent wedding shot there. I met Kate and Duncan almost a year ago when they booked me to shoot their wedding. They were both a lot of fun and I knew that this was a sign of things to come. I started the day with Kate and her two bridesmaids at the Zetter Townhouse which is a fantastic boutique hotel in central London, capturing shots of the ladies as they sipped champagne and leisurely got ready for Kate’s big day. Kate didn’t seem at all nervous and she looked stunning in her vintage lace dress. The day was beautiful and the sun was shining as we jumped into a black cab to the ceremony location at The Deck which is at the top floor of The National Theatre London. I had heard that you could get married there but this was my first opportunity to shoot a wedding there. I must say that it is an absolutely fantastic location and the London skyline makes a fantastic backdrop for photos. We could see the London Eye and St.Paul’s cathedral to name but a few of the iconic landmarks in view.
When I arrived at The Deck, I almost didn’t recognise Duncan as he stood looking cool as a cucumber greeting guests and waiting patiently for his bride to arrive. During the ceremony both the bride and groom couldn’t stop grinning and I must admit that they did bring a tear to my eye. Love was definitely in the air. After the ceremony, myself and all the wedding guests got onto an original red routemaster bus and went on a tour around London, going past The London Eye, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. The wedding reception was held at an awesome quirky pub called The Peasant. The food was amazing and the party was even better. The DJ was from a company called The Wedding Smashers and he had everyone up dancing as he played tune after tune. I for one had a blast and looking at the expressions on Kate and duncan’s faces I think they enjoyed themselves too.
Thanks guy’s for allowing me to be with you on this unforgettable day. I wish you all the love and happiness for the future. Here are a few of my favourites from the day.
