Clifford and YY contacted me last summer as they wanted to have a London engagement shoot before their wedding in Malaysia in 2016. They are such a fun and chilled out couple that it made my job as a pre wedding photographer London very easy. YY was brilliantly organised and even contacted me to discuss appropriate outfits to wear, I think you’ll agree that her red polkadot dress was very eye-catching and the perfect outfit for any summers day shoot. We planned a half day shoot with 2 different locations and an outfit change. We wanted a nice contrast in locations and so we started the shoot somewhere quite green and rural. YY mentioned that she really liked the rose gardens in Regents Park when she was last there and so we decided that would be the perfect location. To be honest I think I had almost as much fun as they did, they were both very relaxed in front of the camera, Clifford was some-what of a comedian and so he had YY in fits of giggles for the duration of the shoot. The park was beautiful, the weather was gorgeous and my subjects were the perfect models. What more could a girl ask for?
Our second location was Canary Wharf, the couple chose this location for several reasons, they both lived there, they both worked there and this is also the place where they met, in fact we took a few shots at the exact location that they first met in Canary Wharf underground station. They told me the story of how they both worked in the same building but on different floors for almost 2 years before they finally met and fell in love. Can’t beat a good old love story!
I liked the contrast of Canary Wharf to Regents Park with the urban feel provided by glass and steel skyscrapers. I was surprised at how many cute little nooks and crannies and interesting backgrounds that Canary Wharf provided and I’m looking forward to my next engagement shoot there. If you feel as though you could benefit from an engagement shoot from a pre wedding photographer London then please contact me to arrange a session.
I’d like to say a special thank you to Laura Kalirai for doing a fantastic job on Y’s hair and make-up.
